Office description
The Howard Hughes Center is on the sixth floor of a building that's part of a master-planned, mixed-use 70 acre-urban campus located in south-western Los Angeles, just minutes north of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). This means at least some of the local economy is about servicing the airport and aviation-connected activities. The center is near to dedicated freeway on and off ramps, providing easy access to the San Diego (405) Freeway, the major north/south freeway in Los Angeles. The result is good access to nearby Santa Monica and Culver City, both of which are significant centers for TV and film production. The latter is home to Sony Pictures entertainment. Although entertainment is a well-known economic driver in Los Angeles, it's also a hotspot for international trade, aerospace, technology, petroleum, fashion and tourism, and the University of Southern California (USC) is the largest private sector employer.
