Office description
The LAX Continental Grand Center is located in a new six-story building in the heart of El Segundo's business district, and offers impressive views of the mountain range. It has a training room for up to 25 people. The center is four minutes from the Los Angeles International Airport and the 105 and 405 freeways. Inevitably, many large aerospace companies have facilities in the city, including Boeing, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman. It is also home to the Los Angeles Air Force Base and the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), which is responsible for space-related acquisition for the military. Petroleum-related industries and operations flourish because of the Chevron oil refinery and El Segundo is also home to a power plant and adjacent sewage treatment plant as well as toy manufacturer Mattel. Also found in El Segundo are a satellite TV provider, medical company, IT services firm, power semiconductor company and publisher.
